Counselor in Training Camp - $0 - no charge - 10th and 11th Grade

You MUST submit a Health History Form, and Physicians Exam Form, and a Release Authorization to attend Camp.

2024 Sessions - 10th and 11th Grade. Consists of 2 one - week sessions.

CIT Week 1 = Week 5 - July 28 to August 2
CIT Week 2 = Week 6 - August 5 to August 9

Under the watchful eye of a counselor, a CIT helps a young boy on the bolder wall.

Camp Scully's CIT camp is for those in 10th and 11 grades who are pretty sure they want to be counselors at Camp Scully when they are seniors in High School.

The program is very intensive, the CIT's are assigned a cabin of younger children and sleep in that cabin just like they would if they were counselors. During their time, they will always be under the supervision of the CIT director and the cabin counselors but they will receive direct experience with the campers. Here are just a few of the many skills they will learn during the 2 weekly sessions.

Conflict resolution
Behavior management
Time keeping and punctuality
Prioritization of multiple tasks
Health and safety for others

The CIT program is free to all in order to make it as accessible as possible for everyone. As stated before, this is an intense program with a great deal of responsibility and feedback from the staff in order to help CIT’s become the best counselors they can be.
